Theatre Arts Fall 2019 Class Information
Discovery Outpost Performing Arts Theatre Arts classes will be performing a wonderful adaptation by Joseph Robinette of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in November 2019. Casting needs are below as well as a schedule. All students who participate will have a role. In addition to learning the script, students will learn Theatre terms, staging and how to produce a stage production.
Cast Needs
1. White Witch (F), an evil queen, powerful, evil,hateful, selfish.
2. Aslan (M), a great lion, royal, friendly, compassionate, loving.
3. Lucy Pevensie (F), younger sister, human heiress of Narnia, loyal,innocent,trusting.
4. Edmund Pevensie (M), younger brother, human heir of Narnia, vain,selfish
5. Peter Pevensie (M), older brother, human heir of Narnia, wise, skeptical,kind
6. Susan Pevensie (F), older sister, human heiress of Narnia,brave, protective
7. Mr. Beaver (M), animal of Narnia, Aslan’s Army, a little grumpy,helpful
8. Mrs. Beaver (F), animal of Narnia, Aslan’s Army , busy,caring
9. Little Beaver (N), animal of Narnia, mischievous, friendly
10. Dwarf (N), servant to the White Witch, follower, mean, ill-tempered
11. Dwarf 2 (N), servant to the White Witch, follower, mean, ill-tempered
12. Centaur (N), animal of Narnia, Aslan’s Army, strong, centered, hopeful
13. Unicorn (F), animal of Narnia, Aslan’s Army, magical, kind
14. Fenris Ulf (N), a wolf, head of the White Witch’s secret police, mean, aggresive
15. Mr. Tumnus (M), a faun,traitor of the White Witch, confused, kind, gentle, helpful
16. Father Christmas (M), a bringer of gifts, jolly and kind (1 scene- played by a parent/grandparent of a student preferably)
17. Elf (N) jolly,happy, helper of Father Christmas. (Will be double cast during the rest of the show)
18-20. 3 Mice (F), help free Aslan (1 scene- non speaking- The mice roll is FILLED)

Aslan’s Followers (N), animals of Narnia (1-2 lines and adlib)
Witch’s Army (N), animals of Narnia (1-2 lines and adlib)
Opening/Closing Scenes: White Stag (non-speaking. Will be double cast during the rest of the show)

August 1st- Informational meeting at Medicine Park Events Center 3:00pm
8th,15th,29th - Thursday Weekly Class 3:00pm- 4:30pm
*No Class the 22nd due to a scheduling conflict with the venue
September 5th,12th,19th,26th- Thursday Weekly Class 3:00pm-4:30pm
October 3rd,10th,17th,24th,31st- Thursday Weekly Class 3:00pm-4:30pm
November 7th- Thursday Weekly Class extended- 3:00-5:00pm
14th- Thursday Weekly Class- 3-4:30pm
14th- Volunteers Needed to help with Choir Concert- 7:00pm
21st- Extended class and tech rehearsal 2:00pm- 4:30pm
Dinner at 5:00PM
Costuming and Make-up 6:00pm
Dress rehearsal 7:00pm
22nd- Calltime for Matinee performance 9:00am
Matinee performance 10:30am
Calltime for Evening performance 5:30pm

**The 21st and 22nd classes/rehearsals will take place at The Medicine Park Music Hall**
